What’s the process for organising treatment in France for a patient from abroad ?
Patients from abroad seeking treatment in France – for a hand pathology, for example – can contact ELSAN for an assessment of their medical situation. If the patient’s case is accepted, ELSAN sends the patient a treatment plan that includes an estimate of the associated costs.
ELSAN also sends the patient paperwork relating to their application for a visa to travel to France. Once these formalities have been dealt with, the patient receives the details of their care pathway.
