Ultra High Definition is making its way into operating theatres. Thanks to 4K-Ultra HD laparoscopes, surgeons practicing in Elsan facilities can benefit from unprecedented image quality.

Four times higher resolution

These endoscopic cameras offer resolution that is four times higher than traditional systems. The number of pixels is multiplied by four compared to Full HD (the definition is now greater than 4,000 pixels of width).

These ground-breaking cameras equipped with an electronic zoom can, without risk of injury to organs, display much sharper and more detailed depictions. The cameras don’t require close contact to the organs to better film them.

4K laparoscopes

Enhancing surgical precision with 4K

With 4K-Ultra HD, Elsan medical teams are able to perform safer procedures for patients and see an improvement in the quality of surgical reports. The improved reproduction of red tones, for example, makes it possible to better visualise blood circulation and lesions, enabling surgeons to operate with optimal precision. This technology helps limit blood loss and improves postoperative outcomes.

Making operating easier

4K-Ultra HD image quality thus goes hand-in-hand with much more faithful colour rendition. The calibration of colours is finer, and the range of possible shades greater. Details of organs, blood vessels or nerves are consequently much more visible. Reproduced on video monitor during the operation, these images make it easier to operate and increase surgical precision.

Innova IGS 520

Imaging to support cardiovascular procedures

Innova IGS 520 is a flat-panel detector system that enables surgeons to see vessels by injecting a product that is visible in radiography. This opacification of vessels, or angiography, makes it possible to locate diseased vascular areas and to carry out vascular repair procedures under visual control.
