Materniteam on your mobile device
To offer support to families outside the confines of the maternity unit, Elsan has developed a mobile application (free to download since 2017) that can be accessed by anyone who’s pregnant, whether or not they’re planning on giving birth in one of our clinics.
With the Materniteam app, future parents can stay connected to their clinic and take advantage from specially adapted, individual content relating to pregnancy and their new life as parents.

Check-ups
Elsan’s maternity units can offer patients a half-day hospital stay (on medical prescription) for prenatal or postnatal check-ups carried out by perinatal health specialists. This is also a time for getting the information you need, for discussion and for listening; a time for expressing your hopes and wishes (reimbursed by the French social security system, with the exception of the extra fee charged by your obstetrician-gynaecologist).
With this approach, we aim to improve the quality of our overall care and to better take into account the wishes of families before, during and after the birth. It’s also an opportunity to meet with our maternity healthcare professionals.

Our advisers at your service
To better meet the expectations and needs of parents-to-be and new parents, Elsan’s maternity units have been using a personalised care programme since 2013. This programme guides and assists parents at every stage of pregnancy and during the infant’s first few months.
32 Materniteam advisers based in our 25 maternity units are on hand to support families and answer any non-medical questions, referring them if necessary to the appropriate contacts. Through the missions that our advisers undertake during pregnancy, the hospital stay and post-delivery, our advisers embody the link between families and the maternity unit.

Individual meetings with future parents
Our advisors can meet with you and your spouse to discuss your pregnancy and the appointments you’ll need to make, as well as presenting the workshops and events organised by the maternity unit.
On hand to answer any non-medical questions
Our advisors are available by phone and email for an initial discussion or post-appointment follow up. If you have any medical questions, they’ll put you in touch with your primary caregiver or the relevant healthcare practitioner.
Visiting the maternity unit
Individual or group visits can be arranged in Elsan’s maternity units to plan for your baby’s arrival, the birth and your hospital stay.
Maternity unit registration at any time during pregnanc
During your one-to-one appointment, our advisors will pre-register you at the maternity unit or accompany you to the pre-admissions office.
Help with administrative procedures
Our advisors will send you all the required administrative documents, including a maternity checklist, for putting your file together. They’ll guide you at every stage so that you don’t forget anything on the big day.
Presentation of Elsan’s maternity services
During your one-to-one appointment, our advisors will present Elsan’s maternity services and those available to you during your stay in the maternity unit (private rooms, presence of birth partners, etc.).
Themed workshops and sessions
Our maternity units organise various workshops and sessions enabling you to meet with healthcare experts and other parents-to-be (preparing for the arrival of the baby, epidurals, focus on dads, etc.).
Maternity events
Every year, Elsan’s maternity units organise open days and other events focusing on pregnancy and parenthood, enabling parents-to-be and new parents to share and discuss their experiences. Contact your Materniteam advisor to find out more and take part yourself!
